We adore our friends at Onion Creek Kitchens @ Juniper Hills Farm and love that they posted this yesterday, “We are as chemical free as possible at OCK and are so happy to see these helpful tips from Food52 for keeping your kitchen clean without poisonous cleaners!” Just two corrections to these “all-natural” tips: Goo Gone contains petroleum distillates. Instead use equal parts coconut oil and baking soda. Mineral oil is also a petroleum distillate, a by-product of producing gasoline. Opt for coconut oil. It’s a fabulous degreaser. But we’ll definitely be cutting up an old sheet to put atop our very high cabinets.
