Safer Spray Starch

Our favorite publican snapped this at the grocery store, and texted, “I don’t ever buy starch. I’m just a wrinkle guy, but thought I would for a trip…” Good grief! Because chemically-scented detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, and stain remover weren’t enough. We never iron but for those of you who do, homemade spray starch without toxic chemicals is too easy: 1 heaping tablespoon of corn starch and 1 pint of water (distilled if you have hard water) in a spray bottle. Shake to dissolve and before each spray. Don’t like all that shaking? Mix 1 shot of vodka and 1 cup of water (distilled if needed) in a spray bottle. Done.
