Well, shoot. We dilly-dallied and didn’t do pest control when we should have. This gorgeous gal was stung by a scorpion just inside the front door this morning. We immediately and repeatedly submerged her paw in a mug of warm, soapy water; rinsed it with cool water, again using the mug; applied a paste of baking soda and water; then held an ice pack on it while holding her like a baby, keeping the paw elevated. She’s doing great now but we feel lower than a mole for our pain-causing procrastination. So first on today’s chore list: spread diatomaceous earth around the foundation of the house then follow with Wondercide, organic cedar oil. There are other brands of cedar oil but we love this homeless pet-helping, local company.
